Admissions Rules

Applicants eligible for admission are persons holding a Master’s degree, a Master of Engineering degree, or an equivalent qualification, as well as persons who meet the conditions specified in the applicable regulations.

In the academic year 2026/2027, the admissions procedure is conducted in three stages:

  • Stage I: formal verification of documents and confirmation of payment of the admissions fee,
  • Stage II: assessment of the candidate’s academic activity and research proposal,
  • Stage III: interview.

The admissions outcome is determined by the total number of points obtained throughout the entire procedure. A candidate may apply for admission to one selected place only. Detailed conditions and procedures for admission are specified in the relevant internal regulations of the University of Opole.

Detailed rules governing admissions to the Doctoral School for the academic year 2026/2027 are set out in Senate Resolution No. 39/2024–2028 (Appendix 1).
