Legalization of foreign documents

Shortened procedure for „nostrification” (recognition) of a foreign diploma required for admission to a Doctoral School in Poland:
1. Diploma Apostille
1.1. Submit an application for an Apostille in your coutntry

Document preparation

2.1. Diploma for which you seek recognition
2.2. Transcript/supplement/appendix to the above diploma
2.3. Document serving as the basis for admission to studies and its transcript/supplement/appendix (if applicable)
2.4. Translations of all above documents (not required for documents issued in: English, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian)
2.5. Identity document
2.6. Document confirming name change (if applicable)
2.7. For refugees – document confirming refugee status

Application submission via SYRENA System

3.1. https://syrena.nawa.gov.pl/
3.2. Fee – PLN 26 per document

Processing time – NAWA prepares a PDF document with information about the diploma’s level and status within 60 calendar days of submitting a complete application

The diploma, supplement, etc., along with the Apostille and confirmation of diploma legalization, must be attached to the IRK system.
