FORTHEM Alliance Young Researchers Grand Prix

We cordially invite young scientists to participate in the FORTHEM Alliance Young Researchers Grand Prix competition, which will take place on October 1st at the Student Culture Center.

The aim of the competition is to train young researchers in the skills of disseminating and presenting the results of their research to audiences outside the academic community.

The event is inspired by the formula of poetry slams, i.e., public competitions between poet-performers, and the format of TEDx scientific meetings. The FORTHEM Alliance Grand Prix encourages young researchers to present their scientific topics in a simple and enjoyable way for the audience, whose votes they will compete for.

The competition promotes a popular science format for speakers’ presentations, creating a forum for debate on issues from various fields. For the participants, the Young Researchers Grand Prix is an opportunity to showcase the results of their work, practice public speaking skills, establish new contacts, and, if appreciated by the audience and jury, receive an award. Participants have only 4 minutes to capture the audience’s attention and give a concise presentation on their chosen topic! The winner will take part in the international final organized on November 6 by our partner, the University of Burgundy (Dijon, France).

How to apply? Fill out the registration form and write a short text of up to 250 words describing your research work.
